FAQ

How do you measure your head for a wig?

Use a soft measuring tape and measure with your hair arranged as you intend to wear it under your wig. Keep the tape snug without pulling it tight. Record your measurements in centimetres.

•  Circumference: Measure around your head, following your front hairline, passing above your ears and around the nape, back to where you started.

•  Front to nape: Measure from the centre of your front hairline, over the crown, to your hairline at the nape.

•  Ear to ear over the crown: Measure from where the top of one ear meets your head, over the crown, to the same point on the other side.

Additional measurements may be needed for some caps or bespoke orders. Please contact me for guidance before ordering these.

Cap sizes and fit can vary between styles and suppliers. Check the sizing information for your chosen piece rather than relying only on a small, medium or large label.

If you are unsure of your measurements, or your hairline is difficult to identify, I can help during an in-salon or video consultation.

How do I know what colour hair to order?

If you are unsure which colour to choose, please contact me before ordering. I can help you compare shades during an in-salon or video consultation.

For a topper, clear photographs of your own hair taken in natural daylight can help me advise on a suitable match. Avoid filters when sending photographs.

Colours may appear different depending on lighting and your screen settings, so photographs cannot guarantee an exact match.

Some human-hair pieces can be professionally coloured, but suitability depends on their condition and previous processing. Lightening is not always suitable, so please discuss any colour changes with me before purchasing.

If you order online, check the colour, fit and condition before cutting the lace, washing, colouring or altering the piece. Please read the Returns Policy before requesting any personalised colour work.

You do not. However, you can with all pieces whether you need glue, tape, a wig cap or a wig grip depends on your chosen piece, its fit and your preference.

Many of my wigs are designed for glueless wear when correctly fitted. Check the individual product description or contact me for advice.

A wig cap can help contain your own hair, while a wig grip may provide additional security. Neither is necessary for everyone.

Glue and tape are not suitable for every cap or lace type. Please contact me before using adhesives so I can advise on suitability, application and removal.

Before cutting the lace or applying adhesives, check the fit, colour and condition. If you are considering a return, leave the piece unaltered and refer to the Returns Policy.

Before cutting the lace, carefully try on your wig or topper and check the fit, colour and condition. If you are considering a return or have any concerns, contact me before making alterations.

Lace is delicate, and cutting it is irreversible. Avoid cutting into the hairline or removing too much lace, as this can damage the piece.

If this is your first lace piece, I recommend contacting me for guidance or booking an appointment so I can trim it for you. The appropriate amount of lace to leave depends on the individual piece.

If you would like me to trim the lace before dispatch, please request this before ordering. I will confirm the work, any charge and how it affects your cancellation rights before starting. Please see the Returns Policy for full details.

My wigs and toppers are available in a range of human-hair options. Please check each product description for the hair type supplied for that particular piece.

Texture, density, colour processing and cap construction can vary between pieces. If you are unsure which option would suit your needs, lifestyle or budget, please contact me before ordering.

I can help you compare the available pieces during an in-salon or video consultation.

A care instruction card will be sent with every order. Keep in mind your new human hair piece needs to be treated and cared for to maintain the longevity of the piece. This means it needs to be kept on a mannequin/safe storage place (brushed and placed in a silk bag that it came in). It needs to be treated with shampoo and conditioner normally between 6-8 weeks depending on wear. You will need to style it with heat tools (just make sure to use the lowest settings to achieve style). If you want a lower maintenance wig look for one that dries naturally to your preference whether this is curly or straight). If your piece is custom coloured, you will need to take it in after 6-12 months to get the desired brightness/tone back in the custom colour. Just as your natural hair would fade after numerous washes and over time depending on wear.

The lifespan of a human-hair wig or topper varies depending on the individual piece, how often it is worn and how it is cared for. There is no single lifespan that applies to every piece.

Daily wear, friction, heat styling and chemical processing can affect its condition over time. More heavily processed hair, including some light blonde shades, may need extra care.

Following the supplied care instructions, storing the piece correctly and arranging maintenance when needed can help preserve its condition.

Before purchasing, please ask me about the care needs and expected wear of your chosen piece. I can help you select an option suited to your lifestyle.

If you experience unusual shedding, tangling or early deterioration, please contact me so I can assess the issue. This guidance does not affect your statutory rights.

Some colour release can occur when washing a coloured human-hair wig or topper. The amount depends on the colour and products used, and colour may gradually fade with washing and wear.

Follow the supplied care instructions and use suitable products. Avoid hot water and prolonged soaking.

If you notice substantial colour loss, staining or an unexpected change in shade, please contact me for advice so I can assess the piece. Do not apply further colour or chemical treatments before speaking with me.
